Ty came to the firm in November 2004. Since Buster Brown shoes were once manufactured in our office's previous location (The Old Shoe Factory), Ty (as in Buster Brown and his dog named Tighe) seemed an appropriate moniker. (We considered Tighe, but thought it would be too difficult for him spell. For those of you who sat in first grade trying to scribe a difficult name your parents gave you, we hope you can identify.) Ty is a full-bred, fawn brush coat Shar-Pei. When visiting the offices, please do not let on that he is a dog as this will genuinely hurt his feelings. Lacking any formal education (beyond Puppy Kindergarten) or appraisal designations (we checked, AKC does not count) has not deterred Ty from faithfully performing his Associate duties, which include: ruff estimates, playing with squeaky toys during conference calls, fetching office supplies, licking envelopes, observing quality control at Kinko's, shredding documents, guarding the front door, and surfing his bed.
